Earth Day - family day

The Botanical Garden of the University of Szeged holds its Earth Day family day on April 22 (Saturday).

On this day, together with Szeged Environmental Management Nonprofit Kft. and Szeged Waste Management Nonprofit Kft., we welcome visitors.

Families are invited to a playful tour combined with stamp collection, in which our partners are the SZTE-JGYPK Interactive Nature Knowledge Center, the Csemete Nature and Environment Association, the Mondolo Association, the Szeged Waterworks Ltd. and the SZTE Department of Experimental Physics and the Szeged Observatory. You can also meet the TEBE Packaging-Free Shop and the Kompostzfutár initiative at the event.

At the stations, everyone can test their skills in waste collection and utilization as well as nature conservation tasks, children can play with various eco-toys in the labyrinth, but they can also try out the Öko escape park. On this day, children and adults can playfully learn how to become active environmentally conscious people. Among those validating the ticket, we will draw gift packages for the Botanic Garden. The Botanical Garden is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Stamps can be collected from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

You can also find handicraft exhibitors, plant sellers, and distributors of gastro products at the event. Our goal is to introduce products related to environmental protection, sustainability, and recycling to visitors.

The 7-mile group starts at 14.00 children's performance, which is an interactive, dancing, singing and playful pastime for the little people and their parents.
