XI. Lavender and Rose Days
June 15-16, 2024
This year, the Botanical Garden of the University of Szeged XI. invites interested parties to its Mediterranean-themed event, the Lavender and Rose Days.
During the two-day festival, spices and herbs that are good for both body and soul, lavender and rose, will be the protagonists. At informative presentations, you can learn about the natural possibilities of preserving our health; whether it's herbal medicinal teas, scented natural soaps, essential oils or syrups. We are also preparing high-quality cultural and musical concerts and entertaining children's performances. At the same time as the programs, colorful and fragrant rose-lavender handicrafts and a plant fair will help us to take away special delicacies and memories in addition to the experience of the programs.

The members of the Terebes band started their joint journey in 2014 with the aim of expressing their musical ideas and feelings through Hungarian folk melodies. Their repertoire mainly includes Moldovan folk tunes, but in addition to their authentic performance, they are increasingly opening up to world music as well. Moving along ever-widening paths, they arrived at a specific "Terebes style", whose important elements, in addition to the use of folk melodies, are polyphony and the use of sound effects imitating nature. Their first own album was released in the summer of 2019 with the title "Tell me...". This was followed in January 2021 by the second album, "Velemjáró", which perfectly reflects the musical journey of the past years both in its name and in its content.

When I was a child, I planted a forest, had my own nursery and had a small herb garden. I have been consciously collecting medicinal plants since 1994. In my second year at the university, I already taught medicinal herbs, and later mushrooms.
On my national tours, I present not only medicinal plants, but also wildflowers. Let's protect them and enjoy them!"
