WELCOME TO THE REALM OF SCENTS!

The Empire of Scents is a herbal fragrance and experience house. Visitors gain insight into how herbs can become part of our everyday lives in various forms – e.g. distilled, pressed, extracted – through the power of nature. We guide you into the knowledge base of nature with information publications, interactive children's and adult programs, as well as workshops and herbal preparations that can be tried on site.

Opening hours on Fridays, Saturdays and during our events:

In February: 9:00-15:30

In March: 9:00-16:30

From April 1 to September 30: 9:00-17:30

October: 9:00-16:30

The Empire of Scents is closed from Monday to Thursday. The house is available to participants during the programs listed in the Program Offer.

The Empire of Scents is free to visit, but separate tickets are required for the organized programs and workshops. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the program at the Botanical Garden ticket office by cash or card payment.

In the workshops, participants will make skin- and environmentally friendly ointments using herbal extracts and essential oils.

Workshop – Making a skin-nourishing facial serum

The base of the facial serum is made from antioxidant oils (e.g. sea buckthorn extract, flaxseed, grape seed, wild rose oil), extracts and floral waters, which can be personalized with essential oils based on the participant's choice.

Workshop – Making a skin-renewing face cream

We create a moisturizing face cream whose steps and ingredients are based on a unique recipe. This results in a face cream with a high active ingredient content and a pleasant scent.

Spring renewal with herbs

Our guest: Judit Varga Hajdúné, naturopath, phytotherapist

After Judit's informative presentation, we invite interested parties to an informal discussion, where we can learn how to refresh our bodies and souls after winter fatigue.

Participation in the lecture is possible by purchasing a botanical garden ticket and registering at the following address: masa.ildiko@szte.hu.

Workshop – Making herbal body lotion

We create handcrafted body lotions that serve as true nourishment for the skin with high levels of herbal extracts, providing a refreshing or soothing effect as desired.

Participation fee: 9,000 HUF (includes botanical garden entrance fee)

Saturday, May 10, 3:00 PM-5:30 PM

Workshop – Making a soothing summer body spray

Our skin-soothing body spray neutralizes the harmful effects of high temperatures and UV radiation, thereby slowing down skin aging. In addition to herbal extracts and oils, we use vitamins to help achieve the desired effect.

Participation fee: 9,000 HUF (includes botanical garden entrance fee)
